I've got to find out what people think about 2D animation and I am hoping you can let me know what you think about it. Do you want the 2D animation process to survive or not and why? Please submit a comment below. Thank you in advance...
Hey Jim:) It will be undoubtedly way better off if it survives. By saying that, it's worth to specify that I'm referring to survival in its feature film form, aside of which it's doing just fine. I truly believe that 2D will ALWAYS be around, regardless of big feature houses' intentions for its future. There will ALWAYS be individuals/inspired crews ready to devote sleepless nights to produce a great 2D animated movie. It's meant to survive, since it comes so natural, just as drawing, sculpture. Having the blank paper/empty screen in front, it's all on you, which makes it quite an intimate experience. I by NO means claim that 3D is somehow inferior. It's just that such level of feel/bond is rather 2D specific...at least to me:)
